Spring Break

It's here! It's finally here! We are on spring break and we are going to live it up...ok not really. We will be spending the week laying new floors. Someone thought it was a good idea to put carpet in the bathroom when our house was built a few years ago, but they were wrong. It's not only a bad idea, I think it must violate some sort of health code. Between the stains from toothpaste, makeup, and hairspray and the hair that collects, it is NASTY! We think of ourselves as pretty clean and tidy people, so it's time to say goodbye to this crap!

I think we've decided we will be in this house a few more years which was not the plan had you asked me four months ago. I've been scouring zillow, zip realty, and Keller Williams for almost a year and we were hoping to buy something much larger once our little one was out of daycare and Brandon was done with his grad progam. BUT, right now we are simply happy to have jobs next year, and have decided it would be wise to just stay here, were our mortgage is less than rent for an apartment, until the education world levels out...which will not be for a couple of years. So, may as well get this place exactly how we want which includes wood floors, a tiled bathroom, and granite in the kitchen. Oh, and what my hubby is most excited about: gutters! Pictures to come through the mess we are sure to make this week.
