Welcome to Consignment

As a mom of two boys, I have often consigned the clothing that they grew out of. In fact, my little guy lived in designer consignment finds as a baby. But now that they are 8 and 5, the land of children's consignment is past them. By the time kids turn about four, they are so hard on clothing that you cannot find let alone consign any of their clothing. Whether it be holes in the knees, stains, or fading, kids (especially boys) are hard on clothes.

BUT, the good news for women is that there is a whole world of designer consignment for women. Since we have been in Dallas, I haven't really tried to locate any consignment stores. However, a friend of mine keeps coming to work in great designer jeans that she has found at various women's consignment shops. So, today on this extra day off, I decided to venture out into Frisco to see what was available. I was pleasantly surprised.

My first stop was The Good Stewart's Consignment. I've driven by it a million times, but it will now be a regular stop. I wasn't really in the trying on mood since I had both of my boys with, but I wanted to check it out. They had plenty of Coach purses, beautiful jewelry, and even a Yves Saint Laurent jacket! I will be headed back there soon.

My other stop of the day was right down the road at Restyle. I did spend quite some time in this store trying on all of the designer denim; unfortunately, everyone with my size must have been quite a bit shorter than me because they had tailored all the jeans a little too short. They also had great purses and jewelry.

I apologize for the TERRIBLE photos! I need to figure out the flash on my camera...or maybe I just need a better camera!
